Welcome to Guangzhou, China! You are here to join the 19thCongress of the Asian Society for Vascular Surgery and the 13thAsian Venous Forum which will be held from 12-15, July, 2018. The theme of the ASVS 2018 is “Collaboration, Advancement, and Innovation on treatment of vascular diseases in Asia.” This theme reflects the main goal of the Society to forge closer links between vascular specialists, from Asian countries to exchange knowledge on medical research, focused on open and endovascular treatment of vascular diseases so as to advance clinical practice in Asia.
The ASVS 2018 program will continue the didactic lectures, debates, video, and workshops; moreover it will sparkle with young vascular surgeon surgical skill competition, expert round-table discussions, and vascular journals summit meeting. The program will keep on advancing the treatment of vascular disease in Asia; meanwhile maintain enhancing theunderstanding and the collaboration among vascular specialist in Asian countries.
In China, we have had two very successful meetings, including ASVS1998 in Beijing, and ASVS2008 in Shanghai. We are excited about ASVS2018 that launches at Guangzhou, Canton, the third biggest city in China. Please take the opportunity to explore the southern area in China, the cosmopolitan city with unique chances for sightseeing, shopping, Lychee fruit tasting, and dining.
